DIY Baby Wipes/ Makeup Remover Wipes

I saw a recipe on Pinterest for diy baby wipes and decided to try them out. Click here to find a link to the recipe. And for those of you who simply want to know how these baby wipes/makeup wipes work I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars! If you want to know my tips and adjustments to the recipe and why I give it this review please read on.
I don't have a baby, but me and my best friend have been long time fans of using baby wipes for many other things. For example they are great for cleaning out my ferrets cage because they don't have harsh chemicals in them that could hurt her.

One of my favorite uses for baby wipes is using them for makeup remover wipes. Once again they are gentile on the skin so they wont cause any problems and they wont burn! I tried using normal makeup remover wipes from the store and they burnt my eyes. No fun at all! Another bonus is they are super cheep and easy to make!
All it takes is coconut oil, baby shampoo, paper towels, a container and water! I used an old baby wipes container I had that was from the Dollar Tree. I just removed the label so it would look better. If you want it to look even cuter I'm sure you could decorate it with washi tape.
I recommend using heavy duty paper towels so they don't rip apart. Also make sure your container will fit half a roll in it. Mine didn't so, I had to take off several paper towels first. Make sure you leave the center roll in until after you poor the liquids in. Once it absorbs the liquids you pull it out and that is where your wipes pull starts from.
For make up wipes I would recommend doubling the amount of coconut oil and baby shampoo. Both work well for removing makeup and so having more of them in the recipe is good. Just make sure you don't put too much baby shampoo in. If you do it will become soapy and you don't want to leave soap residue on your face.
If you are using the wipes as baby wipes I would say leave the recipe as is.
Here are before and after photos of my face when using the wipes to remove my make up:

I was practicing my Kushina cosplay (click here for that post) before I took these photos so, that is why my eyebrows are red. But, it proves the wipes do work because I had a lot more make up on than I normally would. In the before photo I had on concealer, BB cream, foundation, blush, eye shadow, eye liner and mascara. As you can see in the after photo the wipe (yes just one) removed all of those things.

Let me know if you try out the recipe, and what you think of it. What do you use baby wipes for?

Journal 8/4/14 - 8/10/14 Date Day At The Park

8/4/14
Monday was the day after my good friends bachlorette party. After cleaning up from the festivities I drove on home. The only picture I took that day was of my nails and because I have been slacking on writing these posts I dont remember what happened that day, but enjoy this photo of my cute nails, beautiful wedding ring and a feather boa haha:

8/5/14
Tuesday
Lazy time spent in my new Naruto shirt:

8/6/14
Wednesday
All dressed up for who knows what haha:

8/9/14
Saturday was Aj and I's date day. Once a week we try to have a day where we hangout with each other all day and try to do some fun stuff. I did a post on one of our detailed planned out date days. It was a Naruto date. You can click here to find that.
This date day we went to the park. While there we played frisbee and also with a fox tail (its not an actual fox tail its a ball with a cloth tail).
After running around playing we sat down in the grass to relax and take some photos:

Yes I know, we are crazy!

I have started to write down what I'm doing on days, so that future journal posts will be a lot more like me first two journal posts, and not this one haha.

Do you have date days? If so I would love to hear about them! It would give me and my hubby more things to try out.

Journal 7/28/14 - 8/3/14 Garage Sales, Cute Animals and Glow In The Dark Put Put Golf

7/28/14
Monday was an errand day. Oh so exciting ;). So we got some photos of us running around in our happy couple car.

7/29/14
Tuesday was spent at home, with the visiting family, playing video games and such.

My brother-in-law, me and my husband. They were playing video games:

My new brother in law said I looked like a house wife haha:

This is Ambush and he loves me ^_^:

7/30/14
Wednesday was a lazy day spent cuddling the animals.

This is chase and he is a sheltie:

Me and my hubby enjoying some relaxing time:

This is Kagura and she likes to get our attention by laying in weird positions and looking cute. She loves to give us puppy dog eyes so we will let her out of her cage and she can run around ^_^:

Ambush shielding his eyes from the sun while he took a nap:

Latter in the night I let Kagura out and she cuddled me while I fed her =):

7/31/14
I am not quite sure what happened Thursday but we got this cute photo of us relaxing haha:

8/1/14
Friday was garage sale day! We took the dog for a walk and looked at a couple garage sales that were in the neighborhood. Aj ended up getting a new charger for his phone because his broke. It was only $0.50 so that worked out well! =)

Before we left I found the cat (Sundance) sleeping on the keyboard. She always sleeps in the strangest of places!:

Ready to leave for our walk:

Ambush decided to follow us for a couple minutes meowing the whole time ^_^:

Chase hasn't been walked very much yet so it was quite an adventure teaching him how to behave on a leash haha:

I found this awesome old school "My Little Pony" jacket at one of the sales. I had to take a picture of it for my brother in law because he is a huge fan of the new series:

I carried him for awhile cause it was hot and he was tired and distracted. Plus who doesn't love puppy cuddles? :

8/2/14
Saturday was a pretty generic day but I still snapped a few photos.

That night Ambush slept with us. You cant really tell from this photo but he was grabbing my big toe with his paw ^_^:

8/3/14
Sunday was one of my best friends bridal shower and bachelorette party. We went to the city to go out for dinner, mini golf and then had a sleep over. It was lots of fun =)

Before leaving for the party me and the hubby spent some time with Kagura:

All dolled up:

I also went to visit my little brother before the party:

The Bridal Shower:

After the bridal shower we got ready for the bachlorette party:

We went to the city and found a random guy on the street and asked him to propose to her. Thank you random guy! haha:

After we went out to dinner and then had one of the waiters take a picture of the group. We all wore LBD's besides the bride which was very cute and made us stand out as a group:

After dinner we went to a glow in the dark put put golf place which was super fun:

All of the holes had different things you had to do, like spin before your shot or use your opposite hand. For this one it was squat while you shoot:

For the last hole we all had to shoot at the same time:

Me and the bride stole some treasure ;) :

I barely got out of the place alive:

Do you go to garage sales? What is the best thing you have ever bought at a garage sale? Have cute pets? I would love to see pictures! And I would also enjoy hearing your bachlorette party stories as well, as long as there not too crazy that is! ^_^
